Mike Nice has been delivering funky breaks to the Florida club scene and beyond for almost three decades.  He has helped define the genre of breakbeats that is unique to Florida.

Read below to see how he began:

Mike and Charlie met back in 1992 when Charlie was managing his own business, City Sounds, an influential Record Store that served Southwest Florida, from Main Street in Sarasota. Mike was fresh out of Florida State University. Charlie was hosting a night at a local club and invited Mike to come check it out. Mike ended up spinning some records and the duo knew that they could work together to create the most energizing and talented DJ / MC team.

Charlie was responisble for starting a whole unique style of MCing in the West Coast of FL his voice brought something different to the Mike and Charlie duo some say energy some say love.

Their first record, Chunky Love was made in Malibu, CA. That release rocked the scene and established MAC as a force to be reckoned with. Just three years later they started their own record label, Just Funkin' Records. From there they've gone on to make more than twenty 12" singles on their own label and have gained quite widespread popularity. When Mike and Charlie are in the house get ready for a party. Charlie's crowd energizing antics compliment Mike's funky, upbeat mixes. These two Florida boys really know how to get the crowd jumping. Having taken a 5 years off to pursue seperate interest, Mike Nice and Charlie Londono are back doing limited Reunion shows, showcasing the finest in old skool funky breaks and highlighting there great back catalog of funk.

Mike and Charlie are hugely popular in the Funky Breaks scene Stateside, however their sound (along with old friend Tony Faline) caught the ear of Inter- national mega star FatBoy Slim, who licensed their song "Everybody in the House" to his Fatboy Slim - On The Floor At The Big Beat Boutique [Live] [UK] (1998) Mix CD

Then Mike and Charlie's "I Get Live", Whoa! this massive tune breathed a huge breath of fresh air onto the UK's dancefloors with it's mix of old school house and hip hop grit with an incredibly infectious bassline. With a limited release of 5000 copies on vinyl, it buzzed about the UK club circuit for nearly 5 months before coming to the attention of the undisputed King of Beats, Mr. Norman Cook (aka. Fat Boy Slim).

While enjoying a well-earned sabbatical from his Top Ten status, Mr. Cook flexed his creative muscles to give this record the only remix which he had done that year. As well as the highly popular Fatboy Slim Remix, the original Headbanger Boogie Mix was included in it's true glory along with the funky electronic Stanton Warriors Remix. There was quite a variety of sounds for most discriminating DJs, this record is still sought after on ebay and Gemm websites. One also cannot forget their other huge smashes like “Soul Music”, “Body Rock”, “Come With Me” and The Groovkidz “Feel This Way”.

No matter what age, house music still demand's Mike And Charlie!
